Draft five real player-seasons, simulate a season, and continue your dynasty.
Legacy Run is a basketball draft and season simulator you can play in your browser. Each spin gives you a real team and season. Choose a player from that roster, fill all five positions, and simulate an 82-game schedule. You can then enter the playoffs or keep your team together for another year.
Each card represents one actual player-season. The 2015-16 Stephen Curry has that season's statistics. Players from different eras can share a lineup, and the tables below show which eras and real seasons are available.

Every player in Legacy Run is one real season of one real player, carrying that season's own statistical record. Nothing is invented and nothing is averaged across a career.
The full database holds 19,855 player-seasons. The pool above leaves out ABA seasons, rookie years that only the rookies-only rule uses, and everything before the 1954-55 shot clock, apart from three early Minneapolis seasons that are kept in.
| Decade | Player-seasons | Players | Team-seasons |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1950s | 495 | 157 | 51 |
| 1960s | 1,004 | 260 | 103 |
| 1970s | 1,924 | 515 | 192 |
| 1980s | 2,456 | 596 | 236 |
| 1990s | 2,923 | 673 | 280 |
| 2000s | 3,265 | 763 | 296 |
| 2010s | 3,570 | 855 | 300 |
| 2020s | 2,297 | 695 | 180 |
Counts follow the season a year started in, so the 1999-2000 season sits in the 1990s.
Spin once for each pick and draft a point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center. You have a team re-spin and a year re-spin to change a landing. Before you simulate, the scouting report describes the lineup you built.
Run the season to see your record, then enter the playoffs. If you continue with Run It Back, your players age and their season statistics change. One trade per season lets you change your roster as the dynasty progresses. The ratings guide explains what the game measures without requiring you to know it before playing.
These are the highest per-game averages in the pool, decade by decade. They are not a ranking of players and they are not a claim about who was best, only about who put up the number. To qualify a player had to appear in at least 55 percent of the games anyone played that season, so a short 1950s schedule is judged against a short 1950s schedule.
| Decade | Most points per game | Most rebounds per game | Most assists per game |

Every team-season you can land on is listed on the team-seasons page.
A basketball team builder can be a single draft or a team you keep managing. Legacy Run supports both. Start a new five whenever you want, or continue a dynasty through aging, trades, and further playoff runs. A simulated result belongs to the game; it is not a prediction of how that lineup would perform in real life.
For a shared daily challenge, the Daily Minigame combines a basketball puzzle with a capped draft. Read about the trivia games or continuing a basketball dynasty. The franchise pages list historical team records and player-seasons you can explore before drafting.
