Legacy Run is a free basketball game. Each run hands you a real team-season from any era of pro basketball history, you draft one player from that roster at each of the five positions, and a rating engine calibrated on decades of real seasons plays out your 82-game schedule. No named account. Legacy Run has no sign-up and no login, and playing never asks for your name or email. Firebase assigns a random anonymous device identifier when a protected multiplayer or leaderboard feature needs it.
Email, only where you ask for it. Two optional things use an address, and you can play everything without giving one. Getting Pro back on another device uses it only to find your purchase and send a one-time link, and it is not added to any list. The weekly email sends a confirmation link first, so nobody can sign up an address they do not own, and every message carries a link that removes you immediately. Nothing else in the game asks for an address.
Stored only in your browser. Your sound preference, daily streak, achievements, and saved results live in your device's local storage. They stay there unless you explicitly sync verifiable Daily runs to a Locker Room.
Leaderboards. Finishing a run adds an anonymous +1 to a shared tally hosted on Google Firebase. Daily and Classic validation temporarily stores a random device identifier, a one-way roster fingerprint, the server-computed record, and timestamps. Those private attempt records expire after two hours; short-term rate-limit records expire after two days.
Security logs. Private Google Cloud logs may record an IP address, browser user-agent, request time, and Firebase service metadata to investigate abuse and reliability problems. They follow this project's Google Cloud retention settings.
Cookies & ads. Non-Pro visitors may be shown ads through Ezoic, whose consent tool manages advertising choices where required. Legacy Run’s separate “Cookie settings” choice controls Google Analytics: accept and it measures visits; decline and it does not load. A cookieless page counter still runs. Pro members never invoke an ad placement.
Third parties. Google Firebase (leaderboards), Ezoic (advertising and ad measurement), Google Analytics (visit measurement, after consent), GoatCounter (cookieless page counts), Ko-fi (the optional tip jar, loaded only if you open it), and Google Fonts, each handles data under its own privacy policy.
