Yes. The full game is free: draft, season, playoffs, dynasty, and the daily are all playable without paying. It is supported by an optional tip jar, ads, and a Pro tier that adds extras like court skins, deeper scouting, and saved-team tools.
Pro is the supporter tier: $5 a month or $20 once for life. It adds court skins, the advanced scouting report, the team vault and dynasty save slots, replays of past dailies, solo duel modes, the year-range challenge, and cover for a missed daily so one busy day does not end your streak. The core game never moves behind it.
No. There is no sign-up, and the game never asks for your name or email. Your streak and saved teams live in your own browser. See the privacy policy for details.
Yes. Every player is a single real pro season with that season's actual stats, from the public Basketball-Reference-derived dataset by Sumitro Datta (Creative Commons).
It is built from that season's real statistical record, and the engine behind it is calibrated against more than 1,600 real team-seasons. The exact formula is not published. The plain-language version is on How the Ratings Work.
Fit matters as much as talent. Five players who all want the ball, or a lineup with no shooting or no defense, is worth less than the sum of its parts. The scouting report tells you where your roster is weak.
Any of them. The player pool runs from the early 1950s through the most recent completed season, and the engine accounts for era differences so cross-era teams are rated fairly.

No. Legacy Run is an independent, fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA or any team. It uses no logos or player likenesses. Team abbreviations and colors appear only as factual identifiers for a season.
